"I invite you to be faithful to the rich tradition
of the scout movement, committed into the
formation to dialogue, the sense of justice, loyalty,
brotherhood in social relationships.
Such a style of life may be your original contribution
to the realisation of a greater and more authentic fraternity
between the European peoples, a precious
contribution to the life of the societies in which you live
"

We will meet Pawel Borowiecki

He could safely say, he’s a “scout for life”. In fact, his whole family could. Paweł met his future wife 20 years ago during scouting activities. Happily married for 14 years, he is the father of four children, aged 13, 10, 8 and 6. His oldest son has just made his scout promise.

He joined the Scout movement in 1990, and after being a wolf cub, he went up to the troop and soon started a new patrol – “eagle”. Afterwards, he was a troop leader for 5 years, and Eurojam 2003 was his last camp as a troop leader. At Euromoot 2007 he was a clan leader, and just after Euromoot he became Poland’s National Rover Commissioner. Then, during Eurojam 2014, he was in his first year of service as General Commissioner, which ended in 2017.

In a nutshell, his impressive resume consists of almost 30 years of scouting service experience.

Professionally, he is currently working for an international company in the construction business. He has been Sales Director in the Healthcare Segment. In other words, he participates in projects in new-built hospitals (mainly surgery rooms) not only in Europe – but also in the Middle East. This gives him an opportunity to work with the local teams and travel a lot, inter alia to UK, Scandinavia, Benelux, Central Europe or Dubai.

Privately, he and his wife are committed in the Chemin Neuf – a catholic community with a ecumenical vocation.

In his free time, he plays the guitar, enjoys playing sports and visiting different countries with his family. To sum up, he is always learning something new.

From our side we can say that there is definitely a lot to learn from him.
